Here we go again

This last part of the race will stay with me for as long as I'll remember.  I turn the corner at the top of the hill and all I can see ahead is crowds of people on either side of the road cheering and clapping the noise is fantastic.  I know now that on this stretch of the road the MS Scotland cheering squad will be positioned in their bright orange tops so I spotted them straight away and they in turn spotted me in my MS vest they gave me a massive cheer and took some photo's this spurred me on to the last hundred meters.  I can hear and see in the distance my wife and kids with big smiles on their faces this is greeted with an equally big smile and wave followed by a few more strides and that's it "yo Adrian I did it"

I always loved how the Rocky films started with the end of the previous film. It made you feel a sense of familiarity but I guess the director was just looking to continue the story in the simplest way so here goes my attempt.

Just to repeat something that may have got lost over the last 12 months I HATE RUNNING

There I said it.   It's not fun, it's hard work and it hurts. So why do I do it I here you say?  Well the simple matter is you should never take things for granted and you should always repeat always be grateful for everything you have.  Since my mum was diagnosed with MS 8 years ago it took away everything she enjoyed whether it was looking after people in her day job or looking after her grandchildren MS took this freedom away. Luckily my mum is made of stronger stuff and still to this day is an inspiration to those who have met her so for me to put one leg in front of the other is a no brainer really.

So here we are again an out of shape 36 year old is pounding the pavements again all in the name of charity and all for those who would love to be in my position.  In less than 1 month the first part of   4 races will be complete and Run4MS will truly be underway but I can't do it alone I need your help and I need your support and as Bob Geldof would say "I need your money"

So please dig deep and give what you can so others in less fortunate positions can benefit

Thanks in advance

Donnie
